MEP Concepts was appointed by Almax Group to undertake the MEP performance design for the £4.5 million new build residential property on an existing waste ground site on St. John’s Wood Park.

Arranged over 7 floors, the scheme incorporates 9 apartments, including two large penthouse apartments.

MEP Concepts negotiated a tricky change to the energy strategy to meet the client’s brief and detailed liaison with the planning team and local council was required to achieve this. The design by MEP Concepts required close coordination with the Architect, Structural Engineer and Planning Consultant to ensure planning requirements regarding energy were met alongside the client’s aspirations for the scheme.

The scheme incorporates comfort cooling and underfloor heating to each apartment and detailed riser setting out was required at Stage 3 to ensure adequate space was allowed within the architect’s design.
