About this Project
MEP Concepts, in conjunction with Blueprint Building Services Solutions, undertook the design for the mechanical and electrical building services for the new Barwell Stand at Northampton Saints’ Franklin’s Gardens ground, completed in 2015.
In designing the HVAC, domestic hot and cold water and drainage systems for the new stand, which included services for the catering facilities serving the Executive Boxes and the new Member’s Lounge and Bar areas, MEP Concepts tailored the services to cope with the high demand leading up to, and during, match days.
Working with Blueprint BBS and the client’s design team, MEP Concepts co-ordinated a design programme allowing the demolition of the old pavilion stand and the construction of the new stand to occur between rugby seasons. This involved meeting planning and tender submission dates critical to the successful delivery of the project.
