Mark Kirbyshire
Managing Director
Mark serves as our Managing Director, overseeing and managing the company’s operations. He is a Chartered Building Services Engineer, bringing technical expertise in designing mechanical and electrical building services and optimizing energy use in buildings.

Mark is a Chartered Building Services Engineer with expertise in the design of mechanical and electrical building services, as well as energy use in buildings. With over 26 years of experience in the building services industry, he is a fully qualified CIBSE Low Carbon Consultant and a full member of the Institute of Refrigeration.
Although Mark is an all-round building services engineer, he has specialized as a Low Carbon Energy Consultant, Mechanical Services Engineer, and Refrigeration Consultant, working across industrial, commercial, and residential sectors.
He is responsible for the conceptual, technical, and detailed design of building services engineering systems. Mark also produces building energy assessments and reports for planning purposes and the discharge of planning conditions.
In his role, Mark manages the day-to-day operations of all MEPConcepts building services engineers, technicians, and the consultant design team. He ensures that all designs comply with the latest standards and regulations, with a particular focus on Approved Document L compliance.
Mark provides design and consultancy services throughout the entire development process—from the initial planning stage, through various stages of design and construction, to the handover phase. This structure ensures consistent director-led involvement in major projects.

Integral to his role is full responsibility for the day to day management of all MEPConcepts building services engineers, technicians and consultant design team personnel.
Mark is also responsible for ensuring that designs are fully compliant with latest standards and regulations particularly concentrating on Approved Document L compliance.
Mark provides design and consultancy services throughout the entire development process– from the initial planning stage, through the various stages of the design and construction process, and onto the handover phase, thereby ensuring consistent Director-led involvement on major projects.

Appointed by Costco as the Specialist Refrigeration Engineer for their new Distribution Centre at Crick, Envision designed the facility to provide chill storage to an area of 9,818m2, with the chill store being held at a constant 4oC. The design also includes a 767m2 low temperature freezer operating at -24oC. The system was designed to be extended for a future ‘Phase Two’ extension to chill and freezer areas.
